Topics will include smart image capture, saving, archiving, labeling, organizing images, proper processing in Lightroom or ACR, fine tuning in photoshop using layers, masks, blending modes and refined selections, obtaining a color managed workflow from capture to output, and advanced techniques (HDR, panoramas, photoshop techniques, etc.).

Photography Program:
Developing and achieving your own style, vision, and voice

Travel Photography Goal: Encourage photographers to develop their own distinctive style, voice and vision, give them the tools, techniques to get there, and teach them how to shoot strategically in order to achieve those goals.

Topics will include art vs. craft, what makes a great photo and what it takes to give them something extra, learning how to visualize your images and tell stories, learning the basic compositional rules for nature photography and then how to break them for maximum impact, how to shoot at the edges of the light, and the nuts and bolts of achieving those images along with a constant focus on shooting strategically. We will include techniques on shooting landscapes, wildlife, motion, abstracts, night and sky, as well as how to visualize output and end use at the time of capture.
